Isa Medina is my celebrity crush!

I tried to listen to multiple episodes and was not a fan, the girls have potential but need to have more structure in the episodes. There needs to be more discourse on the topics- maybe think about providing information from research to making it a little more exciting. The whole time I felt like o was listening in on someone’s conversation and not in a good way. I’m not convinced you’re right and I’m wrong.

With former host gone, new episode loses the charm and the organic back and forth that Lydia enabled

Lydia was the main reason I listened, if she is no longer involved the podcast has lost most of its luster. Listened to one of the more recent episodes without her and was completely bored. 👎🏻

Love this as an older lady, reliving my glory days 🙂. Just a little aside, run clubs have been alive and well for a long time (pre-internet). Just more community, word of mouth, note-on-the-bulletin-board kinda thing 😜

I was so excited for this because I’ve loved Isa since SLAC and enjoy the material. But I can’t get into this pod for one specific reason: I listen on noise canceling headphones while vacuuming, doing dishes etc, and the laughing is SO LOUD for some reason in this specific pod. The commentary itself is kinda quiet compared to other podcasts so I turn up the volume to hear, and then the booming laughs make my ears ring. I’m sorry ladies, really want to get into this pod but …migraines!

I love this podcast. It’s the right amount of semi-aimless and very entertaining banter, and the debate always makes me giggle. I would love for them to have someone come on to judge and decide who wins the debate. (i agree with the other reviewer that i would like even more research + legitimacy in the debates! )

The show keeps getting better! I’d love an episode on beef with in-laws or road rage… *wink wink*

Could listen to these two banter forever! Was crying laughing at the lobster story. I especially love how eloquent and well researched Lydia is and i have been listening to Isa since Sounds Like a Cult. But are refreshing, funny, but also I enjoy the two takes! Def 5 stars!

One of my new fave podcasts! There have been multiple times where I have caught myself literally laughing. out. loud. In public, mind you! The banter between these two is so easy to listen to and fun to be a part of. More more more!

Such a fun idea for a podcast. I love Isa’s and Lydia’s real perspectives on these situations.

Entertaining and funny, the hosts provide good chatty bff energy that’s easy to listen to and the topics they cover have been pretty good so far, I like the format also but sometimes I feel like they could do the subject more justice if they had a little more depth and information backing up their stances. It’s a lot of playfully banter and wittiness but I think it would be even better if there was more preparation.

This podcast is so fun to listen to. I have been a longtime fruitgang girlie and was so excited to hear Lydia was working on this project! Isa and Lydia are super funny, knowledgeable, and have great banter that makes you feel like you’re in the room with them. Their takes are thought provoking and makes me spark conversations with my own friends about the same topic! Worth the listen.

Jk it’s not. This is by far my fav show and I’m always disappointed at 8:45am on Tuesday when I have to wait another week. GREAT listen GREAT gals ¨̮

I’ve been following Lydia since the early days of TikTok so definitely wanted to check out her pod! It’s a great, easy listen. I like their approach of taking opposite sides, but I appreciate they limit themselves to 3 minutes because the best part of the episode is definitely the “nuance” portion where it feels like your friends chatting. I’

I love the concept of this podcast, but the hosts’ understanding (or at least application/discussion of) structural and systemic factors that contribute to how different people experience so many of the topics they discuss leads to incredibly irresponsible and hollow coverage. I want to enjoy it so badly, but their takes are so out of touch that it is ruined for me.

The occasional snark about working class folks tangentially orbiting the hosts’ (and more specifically, Lydia) lives is so jarring that it takes me out of otherwise enjoying this podcast. I don’t need podcasters to be destitute to be interesting or relatable to listen to, but there is an obvious disdain for the mechanisms of the world not aligning to their wants, and the inclusion of this disdain for workers on their podcast reflects poorly on them as both as hosts and as people. Which is unfortunate when the format relies on interesting ethical and moral debate from their personal points of view.

Refreshing, funny, easy to listen to!

this has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts to throw on during a long drive, while doing laundry or dishes, or even just hanging around my house. Isa and Lydia have such wholesome best friend vibes and when I listen I feel like I’m talking to my besties. It’s easy listening but also so fun to pick a side and see how/if my opinion changes at all while listening. I would definitely recommend to friends!

I love it! The only downside is the theme music is wayyyy louder than the voices. It’s very jarring. Please fix!

Always turning up and down the volume based on how loud these people are talking and or yelling.

Their banter feels like your 20 something besties getting ready for a night out. They giggle and apologize so much with loosely goosey opinions but they are also kind of sweet and I hope they lean into their power soon. The background music during the debates is too aggressive and loud… super distracting.

Isa and Lydia are seriously so relatable. I feel like I’m listening to two of my best friends. I also think they compliment each other really well as hosts - Isa is hilarious and Lydia is so sweet and sentimental. Love listening :))

for a podcast that features the word nuance more than once an episode, i’ve been rly shocked at how flatly gender is considered within each episode.. a lot of gender essentialism and binary limits to discussions. maybe im just not the audience as a nonbinary transperson but I found this blind spot pretty grating

Not the hugest fan of the stay at home moms episode or as a topic portrayed as right or wrong but the other episodes so far are great.

I am finding this format interesting though I find myself tuning out the actual debate portion sometimes. I do like the NUANCE part where they banter back and forth. They have definitely given me something to think about. I am happy to hear Isa back on a pod!

Listened to the first one and I’m soo into the idea! Cannot wait for more to come out and to hear more topics. I kept wanting to jump in and share my take since it felt like I was listening to two of my friends debate! I hope they go on tour this would be such a fun pod live!

OG fruit gang member here. I’d follow Lydia off a cliff. Tbh would rather just hear these two funny gals chat about their lives than have prompts to debate but I get that’s how a pod works and maybe they’ll prove me wrong. 5/5
