So yeah, I’m not a saas entrepreneur, but I find that the content is relatable, insightful, down to earth, and does NOT sound super scripted. 10/1/24 podcast I think would resonate with any entrepreneur, just great content.

As my team and I are growing in the SaaS space, I find this podcast a MUST for both aspiring and seasoned SaaS entrepreneurs. Rob consistently delivers insightful and practical advice that is hard to find anywhere else. This is such a great show for inspiration combined with tactical wisdom!

I loved this show for years but it has become way too promotional of Robs investments. I have to skip 2:30 on each episode now. And the microconf youtube channel is basically useless nowadays.

This is my go-to podcast for inspiration from other bootstrapped entrepreneurs! I found the podcast 2 years ago when I was just starting my first SaaS(jBoard) and loved the podcast. One of the few podcasts that have inspiring stories and in the meantime many shows contain actionable advice that a founder can apply to their own business. I would also recommend checking out the early episodes, there are a lot of great ones with advice that is applicable even today.

I bought Start Small Stay Small a number of years ago and am still a micro-solopreneur. Looking to make the next jump, I started to listen to the podcasts. Rob’s now my treadmill partner as I’m working my way through the podcast history (cure mid-pandemic). It’s grounding, realistic, and aspirational. Thank you for this work and generosity.

After building my first startup and bootstrapping until exit, nothing could have prepared me to sustain both the daily highs and lows. Now bootstrapping my second startup, it is still the same emotional grind. What I like about TinySeed versus other podcasts such as Masters of Scale, is that I’m listening to other founders still in the grind, plotting their land, to sow a harvest. They’re still climbing the mountain and sharing the pain and struggles of today, not the journey from 10 years ago. It’s like being in the trenches now and listening to the guy next to you say “keep going – don’t give up.” Thank you Rob, for putting the time and effort into your show to help others in the journey.

Rob, I can’t thank you enough. I’ve been listening for several years. You have built a unique place where aspiring indie devs like me can find community, encouragement, and specialized information to help grow side hobbies into viable businesses. Once upon a time you told us in an episode to increase our price, so I took an emotional leap and tripled my price. People bought even more than before and my app started climbing the charts in the App Store and eventually reached #1 for several high volume keywords. I later sold the app for a meaningful exit. As a solo (nontechnical) founder, I find SFRU to consistently deliver the most insights, the most practical actionable tips. I get fresh perspectives I hadn’t considered. The Startups for the Rest of Us podcast is truly an MBA on my iPhone. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned from listening to Rob Walling’s excellent weekly show. Tuesday mornings are incomplete if I don’t listen to the latest episode.

I’m not an entrepreneur yet, but I’m getting a lot of useful I formation from this podcast, and as I’m thinking about starting my company I see a lot of ways I can apply this info. Also, pretty much all of these episodes are timeless, so even thought it’s a few years old, the information is still relevant.

“Startups For The Rest of Us” is everything you need in a podcast show about bootstrapping a Saas business. From pricing strategies to marketing and all the way to real stories from the trenches. It has it all. I look forward to Tuesdays, when a new episode drops, and sometimes take the long way driving home to listen to the entire show. Furthermore, I was able to exit one of my products for 26x its ARR just because of the negotiating tactics I learned from one of the episodes. I didn't realize how difficult finding a good SaaS podcast would be. Most just cover theory or only want to talk about MRR/ARR. (Also, they ramble on for a long time) Here's a show with shorter episodes with a host who knows SaaS and asks the right questions while providing actionable value. A+ keep it up, Rob!

Unlike many in the bootstrapped software world, I haven’t listened to this podcast for years. I started fall 2019 after knowing who Rob is for years. I have to say that the wisdom shared over the last period of time has been incredible and my life as an entrepreneur is richer and better off since I started tuning in consistently.
