Cathy ACBGreat, informative and easy to listen to podcast with a credible host! This podcast is great for anyone wanting to really understand dog behavior, and how to work with your dog who may be distracted or anxious or reactive or impulsive. I just started listening from the very beginning, and I know I’m behind, but I am learning a lot and applying it as needed to my own six month old puppy and to my mom‘s newly rescued, anxious German Shepherd, I just wish I were better at finding things on Instagram, I really want to find the video on how to teach middle and spin!

Susita65SO CLEVER- learning and hilarious community!I have been a huge fan of Tom for years, (he also reminds me a lot of my beloved, super cool, deceased little brother Tim), and he continues his positive impact on the whole world for dogs and their humans with this new twist on a podcast! I am relistening to each podcast now and making a journal of the geeky science stuff for later reference when needed. Madeleine is a breath of fresh air, and it makes my week to listen to what you’ve both assembled each time! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ Susan in Tucson, AZ, and the pack of eight

redheadablazeDr. Tom does it again! Here’s why you should listen to this podcast: 1. Dr. Tom Mitchell is one of the most skilled veterinary behaviorists in the world. He knows the science behind why our dogs do what they do and is able to teach those things in approachable, fun ways. He creates games that help you to “hack” your dog’s brain, shaping it into something better able to handle the hard stuff. 2. He’s living the hard stuff: through this series, he is going to talk about his own mini dachshund’s training journey and rehabilitation from a horrific attack. Instead of just talking about hypothetical solutions, he’s going to walk through every step of her journey, even when it’s not perfect. Because behavior and training is not a linear process. Where else are you going to find that? 3. Where Tom goes, positivity and community flow. This is a wonderfully optimistic podcast that has helped me get my training mojo back. As a professional trainer, I find that sometimes I go through the motions with my own dog. I feel reinvigorated to be her best owner again. 4. And last, he’s hilarious. He goes off on side adventures that somehow always tie back to the main topic and you’re left in stitches, rolling your eyes thinking “oh Tom…” Give it a shot. What do you have to lose? Your dog will thank you for it!
-

His passion for dog behavior and the owners behind the dogs comes through every time he presents. Sharing the real life experience of his dachshund’s traumatic experience lets us know he understands what owners on each side of the experience are dealing with. The “It Could Be Worse” stories is a creative way to demonstrate we aren’t alone in the crazy dog owning world. His positive perspective, enthusiasm, and humor make listening to this podcast a blast leaving you wanting the next episode to drop asap.

HappySummertimeDr. Tom explains dog behavior in entertaining ways that make sense!Even if you’re ready to throw in the towel on training your dog, Dr. Tom can help you and your dog find yourselves in a much better place. As a veterinarian and dog behaviorist with a gift for teaching, Tom Mitchell shares his knowledge in a fun and understandable manner that makes so much sense. He shares practical solutions to behavioral issues while also adding some levity and actual enjoyment to the situation. I found the resultant “attitude adjustment” quite helpful in my own life as I’d become stressed and discouraged by not being able to see positive improvements in my reactive dog’s behavior until becoming a student of Tom’s. I’m psyched for his podcast which will reach more people who can benefit from his knowledge and experience.
