I just started listening to this podcast with their coverage on onyx storm, it’s so incredibly interesting how they break everything down & go through the book. They’re also both very funny and I look forward to new episodes each week!

While I have so much fun listening to Nicole and Lexi, I struggle with the length of the episodes. There also aren’t clear transitions between ads either. I will continue enjoying and listening for sure (their humor, banter is wonderful!) but beware the length of these episodes can be LONG!

There has not been a day since starting The Empyrean series that I have not thought about the story or the characters and this podcast has helped my obsession while also giving me a community of other obsessed book nerds who love this stuff as much as I do. I love this podcast and the hosts are fun. I have one major gripe and it’s the reason why I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars - the serious overuse of the word “quote.” Yes, we know you are quoting the book you’re covering!!! The word has now lost all meaning to me. Please find another word or phrase to use!!!!!

After reading the Empyrean series for the first time, FFG Clips kept showing up in my social media. I decided to give one of the Onyx Storm deep dive listens a try and I am so glad I did! Empyrean is the first fantasy series I’ve read and the FFG deep dives with analysis of each chapter has helped me to better understand this amazing world Rebecca Yarros has created.

I love love love this podcast!! When I finished Onyx Storm, I needed MORE Onyx Storm, and this is the perfect solution. I await each episode and learn something new every time. I am so grateful for their thoroughness and attention to detail. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I even read the book because there was clearly so much I missed! The banter has me loling and I will be sad when they finish with this book series.

This podcast is so in depth! If you have a question about something in a book they deep dive then they probably answer it on the podcast. Just wait until they do some travel math for you. They are fun, funny, and well informed on their topic. Give them a listen, it will be a good time.

I love Love LOVE this show! I listened to 7 episodes in a row while deep cleaning and I’m obsessed. It’s so witty, informative, and creates such a fun association for fantasy fan girls!

I love this podcast! It really helps to process and understand all the little details that can easily be missed! My only criticism is the episodes are a bit long so I can’t really listen to a single episode in one go. That being said the amount of detail covered is truly astounding!

I love this podcast. Just finished the empyrean series and was depressed but this podcast has been perfect for answering some of my burning questions and allowing me to experience this amazing series all over again with a deeper understanding of the characters and plot!

I was NOT a fantasy reader until FW was introduced to me by good friends. TBH chose to read it for the smut. Immediately got hooked and found myself at the end of IF before I knew it. The layers of this series is immense and I knew I missed out on a lot of connections. Full disclosure, I don’t have the commitment to reread and try to figure it out, so I went searching for other ways to explore the series. A short search brought me to Lexi and Nicole. 13 min into the first FW podcast I had a Fangirl Fancrush, sharing their podcast with aforementioned friends that introduced me to the E series. L and N’s energy, intelligence, comedy, keeping it real, deep dives, etc is the PERFECT bond with the E series books! I find myself as excited to listen to the next show as I was when I was reading each chapter. I’m SO grateful for the time and effort they put into their work. Thank you SO much L and N! You’ve brought such joy to my life and the lives of other followers. Once I’m done listening through IF, I’ll be ready to read OS and look forward to listening to you while I read it!

I’m new to the fantasy genre of books and just found this podcast. It’s by far my favorite podcast ever and is so entertaining. I’m going back to 2023 episodes and listening from the beginning. Lexi and Nicole had me laughing out loud in the airport and by myself in my car. I love the level of anaylsis and deep dives they do with each episode and appreciate the time that goes into each. I have listened to the fourth wing episodes and iron flame twice and am on onyx storm episodes. I love the Disney references, millennial references and am obsessed with this podcast. I find myself laughing so much during these episodes. And also I am a reading for a good time type of person so I’m so glad there’s a podcast to think of things I never would have 😂

I start listening fall of 2024 and have finally caught up to present episodes. I love it. They do the deep diving so i don’t have to (thank you so much). They help answer a lot of my questions and confusions after reading these books to the point I finally understand what I read. These two women bring sunshine to my work commutes and help get me through chores.

Lexi and Nicole definitely put the ‘fan’ in ‘fanatic’! The episodes are well-structured, well-researched, and most importantly fun! I just found this podcast because I wanted to listen to a “reminder/here’s what you need to know” before reading Onyx Storm, since I read the first two books over a year ago. I listened to the episode they did on it and instead of just jumping into Onyx Storm I decided to go back and re-read Fourth Wing so I can listen to their breakdown episodes bc I enjoyed it so much. So I was looking for a quick reminder and now I’m going to listen to both book 1 and 2 and this podcast before starting Onyx Storm and I’m not mad about it!!
