Accounts Deceivable is a limited series podcast, looking at a growing category of white collar crime: invoice fraud. Listen to three real life stories and discover the devastating impact this type of fraud has on people, companies and communities. Sponsored by Medius.Medius links invoice capture, processing, and payment to replace the worry and wondering of managing AP with calm and confidence. GARBAGE - JUST AN AD
don’t even waste your time. This is literally just a series of 15 to 20 minutes advertisements for accounting software. Apple needs to do so much better about vetting content. This is gross.

A show by robots, for robots!
I enjoyed the stories and topics represented. The amount of AI used is simply staggering, though. Mixed feelings.

Need to disclose AI narrator and business intent
For me, it is unethical and unacceptable not to disclose the use of AI content, including the voice. It is also unethical not to overtly disclose that this is a promotion for a business.

    Podcast infomercial
If we don’t discourage this, podfeeds will be flooded with it.

    Great Contest
These were very interesting topics and eye opening. Speaking from personal experience, I worked at a hotel years ago and my colleague paid herself in the form of travel agent and racked up a lot of commissions. No one vetted these folks.

This is an ad, not journalism
Weird AI narrator. And turns out this entire show is an ad for show spinner, medius. The strange irony of a show about fraud presented as podcast actually being an ad is too much for me.

    AI ruins things again
Weird AI voice narrator. Boring. Also no background music. Could’ve been good but wasn’t.

    Learnings
Atleast this podcast has a real life people who shared their experiences not just on mere opinions of people in podcasts nowadays

    Good Idea, Poor Execution
Can’t really stand the narrator. Droll and monotone and kinda sounds like an AI. The stories aren’t as interesting as I thought they’d be either. Listened to all three episodes and kinda felt like I wasted my time. The only thing I liked was that there were barely any ads. Good on you there. The rest of the content however is boring. Needs to be more captivating!

    Great Reporting
Great podcast with insights into the mind of criminal behavior. It seems very straightforward in detailing how the person went from law abiding citizen to embezzlement. It incorporates an unbiased approach with facts and also the words of the person who committed the fraud.

Is all I could take of the weird AI narrator. Sorry. Can’t finish.

    Is this narrated by AI?
seems to be in a elaborate commercial for a software company, medius. I think the narrator is AI. Not a bad idea however, I thought this would be much more dramatic and compelling. Overall not super interesting with flat affect blah stories of imbeciles.

As close to perfect as possible
Excellent content and story telling. I love how the narrator allows the story to be the focal point and not themselves. This is my newest favorite podcast. My only request is that the podcast itself be a little longer. Can’t help but want more. Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii. I rated this 5 stars but for some reason, the app won’t let me

    Straight to the point!
I love no nonsense podcasts. This tells the story straight through. There are no podcasters trying to be comedians or interjecting with unnecessary small talk.

    No nonsense podcast well done
If you are considering starting your own podcast, listen to this and take notes. It is a no nonsense, well told story. Captivating.
  • RobinChicago
    Straightforward and factual
These episodes recount invoice fraud and related white-collar crimes in an interesting, undramatic fashion.
