MotherDebzJohn LewisTYSM for highlighting Congressman John Lewis. If he hadn’t been so ill, and his successor not listened to Pelosi or McConnell or hadn’t trusted Article 3 to hold officials accountable for abuses of power when it suited their own policy goals, all of the corruption would have been charged before the first impeachment, I think. He would’ve agitated Nadler for quicker movement and aggressive defense of the Congress, and the People.

CCK901SkipThis “news” podcast provides problematic, one-sided, and incomplete coverage of various news events. Reporters fail to challenge guests and interviewees when they provide incorrect or even offensive information.

GeorgeWREGNeeds to be more in-depthI’ve listened to several shows. They’re done but just so surface level. I’d prefer much better questions from the host and more in depth

bicboi1234Building community, one episode at a time!I LOVE The Common! I’ve been listening to the show for about a year, and I can say that the program teaches me something new about our city every day! The team is doing really fabulous work. I really like how the show deftly balances a mix of topics - local news, arts and culture, and more, woven together to show the tapestry of daily life in Boston. Great host, top notch production, interesting and engaging guests - well done team!

Gorkon2Daryl C. Murphy is greatGood local news and culture podcast. Solid guests. I really like Daryl’s interviews. I’ve been listening from the very first episode and it’s great to see the show mature and deepen. Sometimes I’m less enthused about the food and arts segments, but I think that’s mostly personal taste (and the fact that with two young kids, I don’t get out much to enjoy food and arts these days 😆) I have to say though, I’m starting to get fed up with the BU Academy ads. They are *very* long compared to the content of the podcast. And I also personally think they are load of elitist bull**** (much like what’s on offer at most private schools). I’m not sure what the term is for the classism equivalent of “greenwashing”. But that’s what these ads are trying to do for private schools which are, *by structure and design*, elite, exclusive, and only available to the few. Private schools necessarily undermine faith and investment in public school systems which affects all of us - including those who don’t have kids or those who would pay through the nose to escape it. /rant Short review: good podcast. Skip the ads.
