    Upper Echelon Star Trek podcast
IGST is a phenomenal conversation on each episode of Star Trek. They have created sort of a non-randomizing algorithm that chooses the episode of the week — just one of the many ways you can hear the work that is put into this show. ***I am updating this review specifically in the hopes that I will get my frakking haiku.*** They have three hosts with vastly differing approaches, styles and personalities, who each also bring their own particular flavor to the show. This show is never boring, consistently funny, and never negs any of the Treks, which is a breath of fresh air to the fandom. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who likes to laugh and enjoys Star Trek and examining the navel thereof! Estrellas Cincos! 🖖🏾

Where Would I Stay? Right here Patrick, Dan & Jesse every Monday!
The winning formula for this series is simple: friends + Star Trek + hysterical soundbites = nerdy comedy gold. Patrick, Dan, and Jesse have an easy, comfortable style of banter that gives their recaps of current and classic Trek a friendly, accessible vibe. But it’s Dan’s perfectly clipped and hysterically timed pops of sound from all your favorite characters that sets this show far apart from any others I listen to. Shouts of “Chief O’Brien” or “holograms” or even well-spotted, rhythmic language — like the phrase “how deadly these bomb tubes are” from the Lower Decks episode “In the Cradle of Vexilon” — take on whole new meaning and become punctuation marks in their dialogue. Do they take that too far sometimes? 100%. But it’s worth it to endure the occasional tortured bit in order to hang out with these three buddies for an hour or so every Monday.
  • It's alright; I'm a doctor.
    Painful
I have tried this a couple of times. It is not always grating, but it usually is. At the moment, I would recommend Enterprise Incidents as an alternative.

Mad chaos and a whole lot of fun!
Definitely recommend if you’re a star trek fan! they have good insight and the humor is spot on. Do not drink any liquids while listening because spitting out your drink may occur ;)

    It’s just awful, sorry
Look, not everyone should have a podcast, here’s an example. Tuned in for the Picard Finale and man was this a terrible listen. It’s one thing to have multiple people yelling over each other to get their bad jokes out, but this goes a step above by blasting a terrible kazoo noise directly into your ears for “comedic effect(?) I guess. It’s not just bad, it literally hurts to listen to. Avoid like the Borg.

    Too Much Meandering
Hosts bounce around topic like a pinball machine and laugh like children. They talk a lot, but they don’t say anything. Whew, focus up and talk about something of consequence.

    It’s got it all!
It’s got trivia! It’s got jokes! It’s got great host chemistry! It’s got love for the subject matter! This Star Trek pod really has it all with the ability to appeal to casual and hardcore fans alike! The hosts bounce off each other well and the editing is top notch. The best compliment I can give is that as the host of a Trek pod, I’m quite envious of this show!

    Third wheel
Two funny, smart and detail-oriented guys discuss episodes of Trek. Um, there’s also a third guy. The oddly-sprinkled swear words add nothing, they just limit the audience age range.

    White knuckle ride
Two guys talk about Star Trek with a third guy who just smoked a whole bunch of crack.

    Three good dudes discussing Trek
I’ve known these guys since middle school. They discuss Trek without the all too common tactic of bashing things for the sake of clicks. Mixing humor and serious discussion about the episode of the week; Dan,Jesse and Patrick keep me entertained and provide insight into Star Trek. I look forward to each episode.

Insightful commentary on the episodes, thanks

    Save the political commentary
Between the foul language and incessant references to how Fox News is evil you lost me in the first couple of minutes of the Picard review. It was my first, and last, time I will listen.
