Spandex Stage RatI love “I Love Old Time Radio!”Why, you ask? The variety. I have mostly listened to Horror, Suspense and mystery shows on different podcasts or recordings over the years. I was born after the “Heyday” of the medium of OTR, but was 1st exposed to it by a local radio station from my hometown. My parents would “drag” me down to Dayton Ohio once a month where they attended church. Long boring drive each time for me as a youngster. But, each time we approached the border, and more importantly radio reach to the Michigan border, each time a Sunday evening, our local station played an old episode of The Shadow! A welcome knowledge of being close to home, as well as a great radio show! As I grew older I sought out recordings (cassette tapes at the time, which I still have) of The Shadow and discovered many more programs. Well, LONG story short, I am an avid follower of the medium now. And “virtual Vinnie” is one of the few podcasts still being broadcast w’ continuing episodes today! Great, clean sound, (as best as can be expected) and good rotating selection of programs! Five Stars for you, sir! Keep it up!

WestieDudeDrop the chickenThe podcast would get five stars from me if it weren’t for the stupid chicken thing inserted into every episode.

Jambball10I Love Old Time RadioVinny has got an incredible “storytime” voice in the background, and as a millennial, I love having a chance to listen to some good old radio, that I don’t think I would ever find myself listening to if it weren’t for this. It’s interesting because it’s different, and therefore very engaging for me which I love! Too much of the same stuff on the radio these days anyway. I Love Old Time Radio, and Vinny!

Got Clicks VTGreat to hear these radio treasures againI grew up listening to “Chickenman,” “The Shadow” and “Fibber McGee & Molly” over my Fruitloops before school. Vinny, thank you for cleaning these priceless recordings up so they can be enjoyed by the next generation. Love your commentary and backstory on each episode. Thank you!
