This is clearly a superb podcast but I cannot for the life of me understand how either Chapelle or Shannon can sit there for an HOUR AND A HALF listening to a vibration alert from the other podcaster’s phone coming across the mic every thirty seconds and NOT SAY ANYTHING. It is the basic professional thing you can do to address the quality of the audio coming across the content you are creating. I thought they had producers and stuff?

Shannon's podcasts are a must-listen if you want to know what's actually going on in the game of Survivor. Her analysis and insight are incredible, and she's fun to boot. She has a clear passion for the show, and it's clear she puts her all into every episode she makes.

I don’t want to listen to another Survivor podcast that doesn’t have George involved. I love how honest he is and listening to his thoughts about strategy should be required listening for anyone wanting to play US survivor. I really like Shannon’s passion for the game but I need more George!

I love Shannon, she knows so much about survivor and has great insight!

Shannon and her guests regularly provide the most comprehensive and in depth coverage and analysis of all versions of Survivor (English speaking). Her passion for the game jumps through her mic and beautifully hyped up any listener with just a shred of interest in the greatest game ever invented. She’s fun and entertaining and regardless of the length of an episode, you will be enthralled. If you ever want to play any version of Survivor, this would be your first stop for preparation on strategy, vote splitting (yay pluralities), and how to entertain an audience. She’s fair and objective and calls things out that can or do break the game and can talk you through a heartbreaking moment (or conclusion to a season). Cheers!

Shannon puts SO MUCH heart, soul, thought, and work into each and every podcast. I love thinking about strategy in survivor, and Shannon is the absolute best to listen to. It feels like I’m listening to a close friend discuss survivor every episode. Thank you Shannon for all of your hard work!

Why is her sound so bad?! She is so echoey and so much louder than guests, it’s hard to listen to. Fix your sound!

So great to have this podcast! I look forward to RHAP podcasts as much as the show itself and I love having international coverage. Shannon is super knowledgeable, clearly loves Survivor, and books excellent guests. Some constructive feedback - Shannon talks a bit fast in her excitement…to the point that it is hard to follow what she is saying at times. She also often cuts off guests while they are in the middle of making interesting points. The cutting off is often just to make the same jokes over and over. Funny at first, but gets old. This is frustrating especially when the guest is in the middle of sharing a serious thought. Overall appreciate this podcast so much - just needs a little refinement to focus on communicating clearly with listeners instead of the host constantly pulling attention back to herself. Slow down and stop interrupting and it will be five stars!

Shannon Guss does an incredible job podcasting about global Survivor. Here incredible reads, brilliant ideas, strategic mind, and hilarious jokes all come together to make her by far the best Survivor podcaster I have ever listened to and her and Mike Bloom make for an incredible podcasting duo. I cannot get enough of these amazing podcasts! Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into making this podcast as good as it is!

In an American Survivor desert in 2021, there is a world of great Survivor to explore!! From Nick Iadenza to Shannon Gaitz/Guss to Mike Bloom you get incredible detailed analysis of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, with plenty of humor and in-jokes. Get on board!!

Super great podcast. I’m just getting into international survivor but it has helped a ton

Good

This podcast is incredible and one of the best, if not THE best, forms of coverage for any iteration of Survivor. Shannon gets great guests including Survivor alumni to come on the show and give their takes, and Shannon does a really great job of sharing her opinions on the episodes and seasons while still being impartial. Also her takes are on point anyways so if she has a strong opinion one way or the other... she’s probably right 😜. If you like the occasional sorting of people into Hogwarts houses, you won’t be disappointed. If you don’t like that, then what do you like?..

Shannon has great knowledge of the English speaking Survivor world and she gets the top guests from those series. However, she seems way more interested in using the podcast to get out her opinions rather than genuinely interested in what her guests have to say (unless she disagrees with their take and then uses that as an opportunity to go on even more about her opinions). She clearly has favorites and pumps them up, like a schoolgirl. Last season it was Luke and this season Dave has caught her eye. She also verges in immaturity when she goes on and on about her parents, brother, her wedding, and what Hogwart houses the players would be sorted to.

Shannon is really great and knows the strategy of this game inside and out. She def has a bias towards the weaker/more deceiving players that just don’t click with the Australian game (Nick I is one of the worst players I’ve ever seen but it’s similar to Phil’s fanboy crush on Michele F on survivor specialists) and dislikes the loyal/physical players but does a great job getting guests and discussing each episode in depth. Best international survivor podcast you will find to this point.

If you like Survivor at all, you NEED to listen to this podcast. Shannon is the best podcaster. I love the way she brings out the strategy of the game. She also pulls in amazing international guests.

I look forward to this podcast after every International Survivor episode. Shannon is extremely insightful and fun to listen to. I also very much enjoy Mike’s input and his banter with Shannon. Keep it up guys!

I don’t know which I like more, watching Survivor or listening to Shannon (and Mike!) talk about it. Perfect blend of thoughtful strategic analysis and utter silliness and humor.

International Survivor is great, but Shannon Gaitz’s insightful analysis makes it even better.

International Survivor is not to be missed due to Mike and Shannon’s fun and insightful commentary. Both are doing a fantastic job and they have highly entertaining guests.

This podcast is a superb deep-dive into Internationa Survivor versions such as Survivor SA. Shannon and Mike are the perfect hosting team for Survivor SA and their insights into the game are both enlightening and hilarious. A definitive accompanying podcast if you are a fan of Survivor SA.

Shannon and Mike have a lot of fun recapping these episodes and telling each other in-jokes. Once something I privately enjoyed, the pronunciation gap was called into sharp focus with last week’s guest, the fantastic Tevin from Survivor SA season 6. Not since Maccas versus Mackers has the difficulty an American suffers trying to differentiate the Australian / South African / New Zealand accents been more fun. Reads Co-Bus. Sounds Core-Boose? Tevin shaming Mike on the podcast was the best! I honestly still have no idea whether a Shannon was saying Maccas or Mackers, and neither does Mike, because Americans just say McDonalds. Those words Shannon were saying were indistinguishable. I was half convinced she was messing with him. Shannon forgetting that Americans don’t use Zed surprises me every time. You guys watch American TV, right? No one here uses Zed. Ever. (Excuse me. Evah.) All kidding aside, the previous reviewer complaining about Mike’s voice needs to get over it, cause Mike needs to beef up baby Asher’s college fund, and Mike’s ready to politely Yes-And the most awkward of podcast situations like the guest mocking him with a 100% professional attitude. The guests and hosts have fun, love Survivor, and troll foreign sponsors. Keep on keeping on, you guys. I love international Survivor and your coverage. Shannon’s obsessive tangents make me laugh. Mikes puns make me laugh. Who doesn’t like to laugh?

Love Shannon. But Mike Bloom is one of the most annoying people you'll ever hear. He talks a lot but actually has very little to say. And he's nowhere near as interesting, insightful, or witty as he thinks he is. Sadly, he makes the podcast unlistenable.

Haven't even seen anything AU til this newest season, yet I'm still LOVING Nick as the host! So engaging, thoughtful, funny, and with an infectious laugh to boot. Can't wait to keep following along as the season goes; this is just as much fun as US KIAs!
