    Soothing
Nina’s voice is the best. She is so compassionate in her story telling. My favorite true crime podcast.

    Not the move👎
Twas my favorite podcast. Seems like you’re starting to conform to what the rest of everyone else is doing. Also, you should NOT have, under any circumstances, changed the intro. Change it back ASAP. Very poor quality of decisions, Nina. Do better.

    Voice
    Sounds very robotic/AI.

    One of my Favs
Well researched true events with great narration. There’s heart behind each episode, more than just a podcast. 🤍

    Love this!
I’ve listened to EVERY episode! I love your voice, your vibe and I love this podcast!!!!!

    Fabulous
I always look forward to new episodes. Nina is the most compassionate and caring host. I can only say good things about this podcast. I have been listening from the very beginning. Stories are always interesting. Thank you! I really appreciate your nonsense approach. So refreshing.

    All episodes
It could be so much better. Each episode sounds like it’s being narrated by a robot I almost immediately lose focus and I don’t think I have finished a single episode. I hate it because they seem like good stories. Just need some human emotion in the narration

    A must listen
Nina has a lovely calming voice and each episode is a must listen.

    Strange adds
Nina, I love the show but the ads are kinda different, mostly cause they are in a foreign language. I’m not sure how that works, but shouldn’t your audience be able to understand the adds. Ya can’t support what ya can’t understand. Well to be honest, I do think one ad was for Pizza Hut (maybe)…lol
  • Mrs. Horon
LOve the show, but the foreign ADs ugh!
This Podcast captures my state, Michigan. Unfortunately., I can’t stand hearing the foreign ads. No longer will be listening.

Used to be one of my favorites....
I used to listen to this often, but fell away as I stopped listening to podcasts for a while. Now I find it very different. Her presentation feels a little more forceful, and the new theme is weird....it used to be quieter, more eerie, more in keeping with the show. It feels like its the opening of a WWF match or something. I don't know, not my thing anymore.

    What a Pro!
Nina is a fabulous presenter! Of all the episodes of all the Podcasts I’ve heard her host & I’ve listened to every single one I’m aware of they’re amazing! Her voice is cool and perfect for what she does! I love it! It’s beautiful and unique — truly winning combination! She does incredible research into cases that seem special to her own interests, but somehow she has a way of appealing to a wider audience.

    Weird cadence
I like the podcast… It’s interesting, but she has a weird way of talking, which is hard to ignore. And if she’s reading this, she should know that it’s supposedly not supposubly. Just saying.

Solid content but a hard listen
Good content that is thorough. The difficulty listening is the delivery of the information in a style that seems to be more suited to ASMR or a more sultry topic. Completely pulls the focus from the crime at hand.

    Banker’s Hours
In the last month, there have been five drops: four advertisements for other podcasts and one actual episode for this podcast. Well, Nina, I’m going to take your advice and listen to other podcasts. Peace. “We’re open most days about 9 or 10, occasionally as early as 7, but some days as late as 12 or 1. We’re closed about 5:30 or 6, occasionally about 4 or 5, but sometimes as late as 11 or 12. Some days or afternoons we aren’t here at all but lately we’ve been here just about all the time, except when we’re someplace else. But we should be here then, too.”

Love the show! Nina is amazing
Great content from the Midwest, Nina is absolutely fantastic with her delivery and passion when narrating. I wish the podcast would release more episodes more often. Other than that great podcast.

    The Jennifer Crumbley Trial
That was just thoughts on whether this was a tragedy, no true analysis.

    Jennifer Crumbley Episode
Great discussion about Jennifer Crumbley. It was casual as you described it would be and it was thought-provoking.

    Big fan
I love hearing stories from my home state. Also, the hosts voice is so soothing and I really enjoy her storytelling.

    Nina is the best
All the reviews where people say she’s an AI BOT or something like that are hysterical. I’ve actually met her in person and she’s not AI or a Bot. I’ve been listing at least 6 years too.
  • Tiffbriebrown
    No thanks
Why is everyone applauding her voice? She sounds like a robot reading a script.

    Love it!

    Great voice!
I fall asleep to this podcast because Nina’s voice is so calming…even though she’s talking about murder! lol! I’ve seen some of the stories she tells on true crime tv shows but I always enjoy listening to her tell it. She’s also made me want to visit Michigan.

Excellent pod from beginning to end.
There is a lot to like about this pod. Nina has an excellent voice for podcasting. Regardless of genre, she would be pleasing to the ear. She emotes as necessary, giving trigger warnings for content that is more graphic. That said, she shows empathy both to victims and their loved ones. I can contrast this to podcasts I’ve unsubscribed because frankly, the podcasters were distastefully “into” the graphic details. Lastly, the episodes are well researched and well organized so even longer episodes are clear from beginning to end. Nina also posts updates to past cases as needed. I subscribe to a lot of podcasts with a lot eclectic tastes, but Already Gone is easily my favorite True Crime.

    Excellent
Nina has the best voice in podcasting. I discovered her by accident but I knew right away she would be a star.

    Great podcast
Nina had a very soothing voice and always tells the lesser known cases.

    It was Okay
It was always an okay podcast, never amazing. But it just kept getting more and more boring. Also, I came back to check something and turns out Nina has gotten very lazy and hires writers now.

    Big Fan
I’ve listened to your podcast for awhile now. I’ve read through the negative reviews and most of them read like one angry reviewer with a bunch of fake accounts and an agenda. Don’t pay them any mind. You are a great host, with great content, and a melodic voice. Keep putting out great content. I especially like the stories from my home state that’s shaped like a mitten with a hat.

    Ai voice
No thanks. Can’t stand the sound of an ai voice. Technology isn’t their yet.
  • concera1
    any warnings?!?
i used to like this podcast but stopped listening for one reason or another. i started back up recently and the graphic nature of some of these stories about children is really unnecessary especially when there is no warning!! no thank you, pretty inconsiderate.

I liked the cases, but not the voice.

    Nails on chalkboard
This robotic voice and delivery is painfully annoying. I can’t get past it.
  • Poochgrandma
    Robotic Storytelling
The content of the stories are actually interesting, but the delivery ruins it. The voice doesn’t sound human. Considering how horrendous some of the crimes are, there is a total lack of empathy and feeling in the voice.
  • Nullity
    Boring
As a previous reviewer said very boring and monotone. And yes, I gave it a try. I listened to 67 1/2 episodes before I finally cried “uncle”.
  • 2020BHC
    👎🏾
A mediocre podcast with a host who spends inordinate amounts of time making excuses for white criminals and inept police. Meanwhile, non-white suspects and victims get vitriol. Avoid.
  • nickchris86483737
    Boring monotone narration
    Absolutely no soul or feeling

    Tried it but no go
The voice sounds like a computer talking to u I tried getting into it cause I love listening to podcasts but the voice instantly was a turn off
  • Gary zenker
Sounds like it uses a computerized voice. Ugh
Long pauses between sentences and while not totally unpleasant, sounds like they use a computerized voice. Kind of flat

    Great Podcast!
I just discovered this podcast today, after reading an article on the sad case of Gail Webster - and then, of course, jumping into a research rabbit hole. This excellent podcast covers many Michigan crime cases that I remember from growing up in Royal Oak - including the OCCK, when I was the same age as Jill Robinson, and deeply affected by her death in a couple traumatic ways. That whole period left an indelible mark on the lives of us all, and those four young faces are forever deeply etched on my mind. Thank you for your work in keeping all of the cases you cover alive. As an aside, your voice is very calm and soothing, which provides a good buffer when hearing such hard stuff.
