    Great podcast for board gaming
I am a long time listener and always appreciate The Family Gamers experience and insight into current board game culture and how to incorporate gaming into your family life.

    Awesome for family game suggestions
I enjoy listening to Andrew and Anitra talk about what games they enjoy playing with their family. Many of their suggestions I have purchased and played with my family and club at school. Green Team wins and Just One have been 2 of the hits. I also like the look back each month to see what they have played and how many games they played. Thank you for the content and I can’t wait to enjoy the next 350 episodes.

Great podcast, lots of time put in to entertain and inform us!!! (soundwavepodcasts)
This is a great podcast for anyone who is getting into board games or is already an avid gamer. They recommend GREAT games and put a lot of care and love into their hobby and all the family gamers stuff (written reviews, SNAP reviews which are little videos reviewing a small game-in a snap, and the podcast.) As a podcaster myself I know how hard it is to keep up a 10 minute fiction podcast, let alone an hour long gaming podcast that comes out every Monday (well, it used to, now it’s bi weekly, and I’m sure we can all understand that.) overall great podcast! 5 stars, listen!

    Love this podcast
I’ve been listening to this podcast for several years now and it’s always entertaining and informative. My kids are unfortunately not into board games too much but I still enjoy hearing about new games from the family perspective and once in a while, I hear of games that the kids will play.

Great show for table top gamers with kids or not
This is such a great podcast for anyone who is interested in table top games and has kids or likes those types of games. The format allows for good discussion and reviews as well as input form the community. The podcast is one I look forward to coming out each two weeks . A must listen for anyone with a family that games or is looking at getting into the hobby.

Great reviews and interviews, very personable hosts
This podcast alternates between interview shows (i.e. a guest from the board gaming industry (including other podcasters) or other family- and gaming-adjacent media (e.g. video games)) and topical shows (top 5 lists, explaining gaming genres or terminology, etc.). Hosts Andrew and Anitra have three kids and talk about games they play with their children and with others, along with the experience of being board gamers. They are so honest and relatable, it’s fun to listen to them. They put out a lot of good content and are well worth listening to.

    Best Family Game Review Show
Andrew and Anitra do an incredible job of reviewing family games and providing thoughtful analysis of why games worked for them. Additionally, Anitra seems to have a special talent for identifying a games audience and gamer fit. The consistency of this show sets it apart. The interviews and “snap” reviews are something I look forward to hearing!!

The finest family-centered board game content

    Outstanding!
I would need at least five hands to count the amount of times that my family has enjoyed a game recommended by The Family Gamers. Their podcast is well edited/produced and enjoyable to listen to. They often have interesting guests as well. If you are in a gaming slump, need a new game, or simply just want to listen to an enjoyable podcast....check out TFG. They also have a great website full of great game reviews and overviews. If they say something is good. It is worth your consideration.

Don’t play games with my heart!
I love how these two gamers compliment one another so well!! Great show!

    Thoughtful
Love how thoughtful they are about games and everything that goes with them. Game Reviews through family and adult lenses.

    Authentic
I just recently found The Family Gamers podcast (July 2019) after hearing about Andrew and Anitra on The Dice Tower. I have been binge listening to back episodes and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I find A&A to be enthusiastic and authentic, and as the father of six myself, I find their stories relatable and their reviews helpful.
  • Martyuc
    A set of parents perspective.
It is hosted by a husband and wife of the same family. Many other family slanted gaming media only includes one of the parents. It is so helpful to hear both parents POV, because that is the goal of family gaming, to share the experience together!

    Great podcast
It is always a challenge to find games that my kids can play that don’t bore me to tears. That’s where this podcast comes in. Now I don’t have to wade through the stinkers to find great family games.

    Pretty Awesome podcast
It's really family friendly which I like. Not one that I have to have turned up when the kids are around. I wish they involved the kids more. Was really nice to hear their kids during the pax episode. Kind of cool how they also review video games. Their voices really remind me of a podcast that I used to listen to when I just listened to running podcasts. That's kind of cool. Keep up the good work!

    Best podcast on family gaming
As a gamer, there is a wide variety of podcasts to listen to. I listen to about 6 regularly. As a parent of a 5 year old, I like to share my hobby with my whole family. Family Gamers provides info on games for kids and the entire family that I might not even hear mentioned on other podcasts- a huge help for me! Best of all it’s not just informative - it’s entertaining! I love to hear about the adventures of Andrew and Anitra ! Keep up the good work guys!!
  • xoopams
    I finay found it!
I was looking for a family oriented podcast and here it is! Thanks Andrew and Anitra for all the good work!
  • Shreddemon
    One of the best!
Cannot recommend this podcast enough. Andrew and Anitra are awesome hosts and their passion for games and family shine through. They cover the types of games I’m looking to play with my friends and family. Super informative and energetic. They make you feel like you’re in the same room having a conversation. I cannot thank them enough for adding a little slice of gaming heaven to my commute. THEY ROCK!

    Family Fun
Glad to have a fun family oriented gaming podcast. Waiting patiently for my own son to be old enough to play with me and this podcast helps pass that time haha
  • GarishMan
The content is very applicable to a game lover sharing with his family.
I want to learn all that they know.

A Fun Show with Your Family In Mind
Listen if you like to hear about fun games for you and your family!
  • Coryak
    Great content but interruptions detract
I enjoy the podcast. Found it from listening to married with games. Great family friendly talk. Enjoy it greatly. However there is a tendency for the two of them to talk over and interrupt each other especially the husband. My only critique.
  • Dumbide
    Great show!
Fun and entertaining podcast, keep up the amazing work!
  • LizK44MA2016
    Great for parents!

    fun and helpful
Its great to hear about very new games. These guys give a very good sense of the game from the way they talk about the play.
  • Kaseyyyy-g
    Unique
This podcast is great to learn about original games that the whole family can play! So many unique games you would never hear about! With so many games out there this is a great resource to find hidden gems, like Maze Racers

    So good!
My husband and I love listening to this podcast in the car together. We love games and want to game with our kids when they're a little older, so I really appreciate that Andrew & Anitra approach gaming as an opportunity to spend time together as a family. I didn't come from a gaming family, but I'm in one now, so this podcast is really refreshing; it's nice to have something to listen to that doesn't inherently vilify gaming and gives us good food for thought regarding how we'll manage media in our family. Can't wait to hear more!
  • svanblar
    Great new podcast
Fun new podcast about gaming as a family. I've enjoyed every episode!
  • AndyGer
    Entertaining and informative
Great succinct podcast that is both entertaining and informative. The husband & wife team, Anitra & Andrew, do a great job of keeping on point and discussing the fun and challenges of gaming and families.

Getting Stabbed In The Face Is Better Than Candy Land
It's a great show about family gaming. From the first episode their professionalism is obvious. There is no fumbling for ideas. The cast gets to the point directly and do not try to fill time for the sake of a long show. Andrew and Anitra are exploring the ins and outs of family gaming and the responsibilities of being a parent. Anitra's moxy comes through in the first episode - "Getting stabbed in the face is better than Candy Land." I need that on a t-shirt. Andrew seems like a nice guy too... Kidding aside, I am priviledged to have a little inside information about possible future episodes and I can honestly say if you like gaming and want to involve your family, this is a show you should listen to. Yep, It's my kind of show. I can't wait for more.
